Cigna had been in Sawgrass Corporate Park for 8 years. With 24 months to lease expiration, they wanted to reduce their occupancy cost immediately and simultaneously not disrupt the existing operations.

The Solution:

Through aggressive negotiations and uncovering several stalking horses, we were able to show Cigna’s existing landlord that we had several landlords in Sawgrass Corporate Park willing to offer aggressive packages to attract this tenant. With these alternatives in play, we were able to renew Cigna in place and immediately reduce their remaining rent obligation by $760K.
