Groundbreaking, glass-ceiling shattering or simply long overdue, women in commercial real estate are powerhouses, forging their way from the bottom up or through a series of calculated management moves. However they got there, these women are forces of nature, with high-level positions that are influencing the industry every day. And, if that was not enough, their commitment to young professional mentoring and community and civic endeavors gives a whole new meaning to the concept of multitasking.

LAUREL OSWALD
Executive Director and Founding Partner
Tower Commercial Real Estate
Miami
Oswald’s current responsibilities include business development as well as specializing in the leasing of approximately three million square feet of class A trophy office towers throughout South Florida. As a 17-year veteran in the commercial real estate industry, she and her team were recently awarded NAIOP’s Office Brokerage Team of the Year. This was based on the completion of 71 lease transactions consisting of 558,814 square feet, valued at more than $230 million, which also included two of the largest leases recorded in South Florida during the year. In addition, Oswald serves as chair of the Corporate Council for the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Alliance and is on its board, executive committee and Ambassador’s Council.
